With sensational creations including heels a-swirl in sexy leather straps, towering wooden platform clogs, sandals in vibrant primary colors, slinky ankle straps crafted from an articulated block of wood, breathtakingly sleek black patent pumps, Japanese-style sandals with sequined bands, snow-white lamb's leather wingtips, wedges in plush violet velvet, white sandals with sunny yellow soles, and scrunchy low ankle boots in pleated coffee velvet, Robert Clergerie is never at a loss for bravado.

Although Robert Clergerie launched the brand that bears his name only in 1981, the company's roots trace back to an illustrious shoemaking business begun in 1885. It was Clergerie's approach to the shoe as art, however, that earned the brand a stellar international reputation and the designer himself four separate awards as Best Industrialist of the Year from the Fashion Footwear Association of New York and a place in that association's and Footwear News Magazine's Hall of Fame.
