K-Swiss was founded in 1966, the same year its white-on-white Classic model, the first all-leather tennis shoe, debuted and made a memorable impression at Wimbledon. Though, as its name suggests, the company’s founders were two Swiss-born brothers, K-Swiss began in Los Angeles, and the internationally respected brand, which now also offers coordinated sportswear apparel and accessories, is now run by the Nichols family, who have been growing and stewarding K-Swiss since the mid-1980s.
